Erev Yom Kippur 5773 (2012)

September 25, 2012
This message was given at a Fall Feasts service

There are 34 verses that describe Yom Kippur in detail in Leviticus 16. Yom Kippur is a somber feast, and is focused on teshuvah (repentance), and when it comes to God's feasts, people enjoy celebrating the joyous feasts, such as Sukkot, but don't want to acknowledge Yom Kippur. This is a beautiful feast of humility and self-denial, retrospect and repentance. We must observe this feast to please God, and it frees us to enjoy the other feasts He has instituted.
