Hebraic Dance

We dance at Beth Yeshua International (BYI), to an audience of One, the only One worthy of our praise and worship. We are ministers, using our earthly instruments, (our bodies), to worship our Heavenly Father. The definition of a minister is a person or thing used to achieve or convey something. Hebraic dance is one way we convey our sincere and earnest expressions of how much we love, appreciate, worship and adore Him.

We dance in obedience to the Word. The Bible gives us these verses written by Hebrew (male), writers speaking through the guidance of the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) on the subject of dance.

  • 2 Sam 6:14 – Then David danced and spun around with abandon before ADONAI, wearing a linen ritual vest.
  • Ps 30:11-12 – You (Lord) turned my mourning into dancing! You removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, so that my well-being can praise you and not be silent; ADONAI my God, I will thank you forever!
  • Jer 31:13 – Then the virgin will dance for joy, young men and old men together; for I will turn their mourning into joy, comfort and gladden them after their sorrow.
  • Ps 150:4 – Praise him with tambourines and dancing! Praise him with flutes and strings!
We invite everyone to participate in the ministry of dance.
